Our Core Program

At The Darul Arqam, one of the main focuses of our curriculum is the bond made with the Noble Qur’an. We strive to make Allâh’s Book part of our youths’ lives. Whether reciting the Qur’an in a chorus, reading it off the pages of a mushaf, or listening to a recording of a renowned reciter during free time activities, the children will routinely be busy with Allâh’s Word.

Lessons and activities are designed and gradually presented to complement the child’s natural stages of developments. For younger learners (Stage One) the focus is more centered around exploration and discovery. Learning new words, communication and how to relate to others and their surrounding environment in a respectful manner is essential at this stage.

Stage Two students are introduced to a number of subjects, each requiring the memorization of basic essentials. Formal individual Qur’an lessons will become normalised. Exposure to a wide variety of extracurricular activities is routinely made, allowing both the student and caretakers to discover the child’s innate strengths and interests.

The third phase, Stage Three, is to consolidate all that was previously gained, learn about technology and how to safely use it, and make preparations to participate in national entrance exams into other public or private institutions.

A glimpse at what is covered:

“Make an alligence with the Qur’an. By the One in Whose Hand Muhammad’s soul is, it escapes from memory faster than a camel does from its tying ropes.”

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
